The Daily Doodles |
My name is David Michael Chandler, and everyday I will post a Daily Doodle with a story attached to it. Everything you see here has been written, drawn, and coloured all on my lonesome. I hope you enjoy them, or die trying. Please E-mail anytime at thedailydoodles@gmail.com |
Hey Everyone!
Due to whelming demand (not overwhelming, but certainly whelming) for “more time”, and because I didn’t have internet for most of December (which ruined how I wanted to post everything), I have added extra time for the deadline of the contest!
Updated Deadline: Monday, Jan. 14th, 11:59pm
That will be a strict deadline, so there is some semblance of order around here.
I have SO MANY crazily insanely amazingly awesome submissions to post, so please follow THECOLOURINGCONTEST.tumblr.com so you can be sure to see them all! Also, for everyone I’ve already posted on the site, I’ll be sure to reblog you so everyone gets a fair shake during the final days.
Honestly, I can hardly believe how good these have been. The amount of energy and work you all put into them, it really makes me happier than anything. And they’re so damn GOOD.
The winners will be decided by the end of the month, January 31st. Whatever the note counts are then, will determine the first 2 winners, and then the random drawing will be done for the other 2 winners.

And now, the posting of the submissions shall continue as planned!
Thank you to everyone who has taken part, and is planning on taking part. You’re all amazing.
Love,
David Michael Chandler
“The First Worst Day Ever”
As the train chugs along slowly, he watches the scenery pass
And Aaron Wellers rests his head against the cool window’s glass.
He cringes out a sigh and tries to stifle a cry,
His first Worst Day is over, and he just wants to die.
His compartment is empty, and that’s the one thing that’s gone right
But the loneliness makes him think, and it’s a long trip through the night.
Stuck in the moment, and dwelling on all he did wrong
He knows that he will remember this awful day, for all his life long.
As the years pass, other Days come and go
Some good and some bad, and time continues to flow…
New lives and experiences, each more different than the last
And eventually Aaron’s worst day of his life, fades away to the past.
It doesn’t feel possible now, while he’s still stinging from the squall
But there will come a day when this doesn’t bother him at all.
The next morning he wakes up, as his destination arrives
Aaron steps off the train, and gets on with living his lives.
