The Daily Doodles |
My name is David Michael Chandler, and everyday I will post a Daily Doodle with a story attached to it. Everything you see here has been written, drawn, and coloured all on my lonesome. I hope you enjoy them, or die trying. Please E-mail anytime at thedailydoodles@gmail.com |
“As the Sun Rises”, a Haiku
As the sun rises,
You get yet another chance
To screw up again.

“The World on Display”, a Haiku.
Strolling past the truth,
Parents may try to shield you…
But still, it seeps in.

“Late Night TV”
Creeping down the hallway,
He turns on the television quietly.
After everyone has gone to bed,
He looks at what they don’t want him to see.
The real education starts after hours,
So at boring stupid school he does awfully…
But he’ll learn everything he ever needs to know,
Thanks to watching Late Night TV.

While following his brother home on a dark Halloween Night
Jason was ‘sposed to follow left, but super stupidly went right
Then everything went black, and there were no signposts
And he discovered he was Lost! in the Land of the Ghosts.
He hated his (last minute) ghost costume, but here it helped him blend
They had no idea he was just young boy, only a ghost for pretend.
So Jason walked amongst the dead, saw how they lived their life
And what he witnessed scarred him deeper than any gash of a knife.
They all carried briefcases, wandering off to soul sucking jobs
Eyes dead, shoulders slumped, depressing multicoloured blobs
The defeated looks made his skin crawl; his stomach revolts
As he realizes that when we die, we all become boring adults.
‘Twas a more chilling vision of the afterlife than he ever could dream
He had ran all the way home while letting out a blood curdling scream.
There’s no choice but to live as long as possible, making every day rad
Since there’s plenty of time afterwards to be lame, dead, and sad.
