The Daily Doodles |
My name is David Michael Chandler, and everyday I will post a Daily Doodle with a story attached to it. Everything you see here has been written, drawn, and coloured all on my lonesome. I hope you enjoy them, or die trying. Please E-mail anytime at thedailydoodles@gmail.com |
“The Lonely Monster Just Wants to Make Friends”
(A deluxe extra special CLAY Daily Doodle)
He’s just a lil’ monster, he only wants to make some friends
But no matter who he meets, he knows how it always ends.
They’ll come into his lair, and he’ll come out to tell them “Hi!” :-)
But then they’ll look delicious, and then they’ll have to die :’-(
Before he can get to know them, he strips their meat from their bones
Doesn’t even ask for their email, or if he can text them on their phones
He keeps saying he wants a buddy, someone with he can pal around
Instead he pushes friendship away, by smearing their brains on the ground.
When the frenzy is all over, he tries to rationalize and think:
“Me bet a friend wouldn’t be better, ‘den all da tasty blood me drink!!”
But he knows that’s just a lie, because it simply hurts to be alone
So he sobs quietly in the dark… wishing for a friend to call his own :’-/

O’ ME AND MY BRICKIE, have the bestest of times
We goof and mess about, and commit the perfect crimes
Me and my Brickie, we dance and we play
And ignore the other kids, who tease us everyday.
I don’t care ‘bout those twerps, cuz’ I got Brickie on my side
When those other kids were mean, I used to run and hide :’-(
But then I found the best pal a boy could ever find!
Auburn, heavy, and stoic, but ever so kind!
He listens to my problems that I have with my dad
Pa doesn’t understand our friendship, which just makes me sad
I think my father needs a brick of his own
And then we can ALL be happy and jolly at home!
As the sun sets, me and Brickie reflect on the day
He reminds me that I’m rad, no matter what they all say
The evening comes to a close but our love will never end,
I love you Brickie; you’re my best friend.

Only one person I know of noticed it, but I’ve drawn that boy before (same face, mouth, angle, etc)… I did it again here just to see if anyone noticed for funsies.
