An Impending Sense of Doom
(A Classique Doodle from 10/12/2011)
Jimmy Bartlett walks down the stairs from his bedroom, smelling a delicious breakfast along the way, and freezes in the kitchen doorway— he can’t quite explain it, but he was suddenly hit by an impending sense of doom.
Something is wrong, he just knows it.
His parents were feeding his baby sister, they had made french toast and bacon for breakfast… everything looks perfect. The Sun is shining, birds are chirping, it’s the weekend, but still— the feeling is strong, and gnaws at him from within.
It’s all great now, sure, and he can’t articulate why he feels this way, but SOMETHING bad is going to happen… any moment now…
The impending sense of doom stays with Jimmy for 88 more years, and then he dies.
