The Daily Doodles

Despite the 100% legal marriage of the Droid JX-9000 and the human Melissa Gunderson under then-current Pennsylvania Human-Robo Marriage Law, the rural human neighbors of the Organi-Mech couple weren’t happy with the newly weds moving into their small community.

So, late one night, a drunken mob (led by a former suiter of Melissa who coincidentally took up the mantle of fervent anti-Robot crusader after Melissa chose JX-9000 over him) breaks into the couple’s home and forcibly drag the Droid husband outside.

The mob then tortured JX-9000 on his own lawn for 6 hours, hootin’ and hollerin’ the whole while, before ultimately crucifying him to a burning cross.  The life-giving tripolodene leaking from his numerous wounds finally runs out three excruciating days later, and JX-9000 passes away.

Even with the local law enforcement and human-run media attempting to gloss over the hate crime and report the mob’s crucifixion of the ‘sinister’ and ‘suspicious’ Robot as self-defense, the torture and murder of JX-9000 becomes a rallying cry for Robot Freedom Fighters… and historians will eventually point to this incident as the central instigator that led to the Great Robot Revolutionary War of 1997.

The war led to the death of 5.5 billion humans, and established the Droid as the dominant species on Earth.
